I met a Turkish T1D man in Istanbul. We enjoyed Turkish food and he showed me the city central.

When we started having lunch, I couldn’t find my insulin in my bag (neither in my body). But he lent me his insulin-pen that was the same as mine “apidra”.

Normally, I shot 8 or 9 units of insulin before eating but the amount was getting less these days. Then, I decided to go 7 units.

But when we were walking around the city, I felt very strong hypoglycemia. My blood glucose was 45mg/dL!!

I took Glucose but I was almost passed out. Then he dragged me and found drink.

After a while, I got be fine and we went into Blue Mosque!

He helped me everything on that day…!!

I will be careful so much on the rest of my trip…
